Prayer Team
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be
acceptable in your site, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

Purpose
To communicate with the Lord as individuals and in community as we all walk through Life Change together. The ABF Prayer Team will touch each of the four pillars that define Life Change.
- Rooted in Grace: The Prayer Team will lift up all prayer as praise to our Lord and Creator, Jesus Christ, knowing that we are saved only by His all-encompassing Grace. (Ephesians 2:4-8)
- Strengthened in Truth: Our prayer is much more effective when it is done in and through God’s Word. The foundation of what we pray for and the praise we lift up to our creator will ultimately be rooted in scripture. (Luke 4:1-12)
- Connected to People: The best way to connect with people is to pray with them and for them. Prayer will be an essential part of our Villages. (James 5:16)
- Released to Action: Every action our church community takes should first be bathed in prayer. In fact, our actions and our prayers should be synonymous. They should be happening at the same time and for the same purpose. (I Thessalonians 5:17)
Get Involved
- Weekly, as a participant in the PrayerTeam, you are asked to serve others by praying for those in the current PrayerBook. The PrayerBook is sent via email and Prayer Teammates are asked to pray consistently in time and place.
- Prayer Teammates are also asked to pray for Austin Bible Staff and leadership.
- Each week during the worship service, to pray for the message, for true worship, for visitors and for children and workers in the Roots ministry.
- This semester we will meet 2 times at various locations and times. Check the events tab for specific details.
Leadership
- Each Village has a prayer coordinator who communicates weekly with the leadership.
